Fabric Fast Stats

Hi friends. Happy sunday

Everything is the same as last week. I have been swamped with quilts, yard work and housework and I got stuck on another Netflix series that has me catapulted into a Fairyland.  But it has not escaped me that it is already June. I have made it halfway. I have not bought any fabric for half a year. It doesn’t really seem that should be possible. But you know what I have found?

I have found that when I set a goal and actually follow through it pays off. (unlike all of those weight loss goals). I haven’t even really been tempted. Sometimes I will see a sale and think ….Oh a little here or there won’t hurt. I did give myself a 500$ budget in case I went somewhere or did something that may afford me a little fabric.  A quilt show or something? But I have not gone to any. I still have 6 months left but I am thinking I won’t need it.

I am learning that paying off my debts and accomplishing goals is a far greater feeling than collecting”stuff”. I have been talking about simplifying for a long time. I think this is just the next step to that.

I also think using my stash is helping accomplish all of those UFO’s. All of those projects that loom overhead and call to you as you start something new? Yes…those. It feels good to get those done. So what I am setting out to accomplish is happening because I set one goal. When you set one goal then other good things happen all around it because I think like attracts like. Good attracts good and so on. When you start eating right you want to work out ect.

I have seen that with other things in my daily routine as well. I started setting other goals..I implemented them and good things have been happening.   I decided to turn off ipad & iphone at night & in the morning. I get up read my bible & pray . NO interruptions. It has helped me. I think those devices have been stealing a lot of time from me. I can get so wrapped up in browsing and reading that I lose track of time and goals I want to set for myself. It has helped to center me.

So anyway..just thought I would share what is going on with me and my goal.

How are you all doing? any news to report?
