Donna’s Second Round

Here is the last of Donna’s quilts. 🙂

This first one is fabulous! She mixed French general fabrics and Parisville by Tula Pink. I am hoarding a great stash of Parisville myself…waiting for the perfect quilt to come along..which will have to showcase this center piece just as well…because I adore it!

So I wanted the focal points to stand alone….not much interference…I changed thread colors and matched a green thread to those. I used a burgundy in the rest of the quilt. I quilted swirly feathers….feathers in the green floral prints and cross hatching in the Parisville prints.

Here are a few more shots:

Then this next one is a winter themed quilt. Donna loves Cardinals….so she made this quilt just for her.

It’s difficult to see but I quilted a feather wreath in the center square and loops in the diamond around it….to help it stand out a bit more. In the black points i used back & forth lines….swirls and leaves in everything else to kind of match the focus fabric.

It’s been such a pleasure! Thanks Donna! Have a great week! BLessings
