Sharon also made this quilt. I fell in love once again. I really need to expand my vocabulary. But you know the struggle is so real. When you are a quilter and you only have 24 hours in a day and you want to make everything that comes your way…seriously. This is beautiful.
What you can’t see in the photo is that all of the tulip blocks have the same technique as a cathedral window block with the 3-d edges folded over. It just adds so much to the blocks.
I quilted infinity designs, l’s, swirls and leaves.
I just wanted to add whimsy and fun to make them appear that they are indeed dancing.
The other thing that I love about these tulips is that each block is a different fabric….it’s so easy to just pick out one or 2 fabrics and stick with them..but she used all sorts of reds& pinks and that just makes my heart pitter pat
Thanks Sharon. It’s always nice to see what you come up with.
I hope you all have a dancing tulip kind of day….it just makes you happy. I am surely thinking of a nice spring day where tulips are bloomed. trust me…I am pretty done with winter this year.
