Annette and I have been trading for several years. She takes my scraps and makes beautiful quilts. She sent this one last year ( or more) I loved it immediately. I seriously love this aqua blue color and the patchwork squares…well they just make my squeal.
So I sewed the backing together right away and it’s been sitting because I didn’t know how I wanted to quilt it. Seriously, this happens with my own quilts all of the time.
So I decided to test out a design I thought of one day…..straight lines down one side of it…then I flipped it and just did “channels” of straight lines through specific areas of the quilt to create lines of communication that only go through certain areas.
I thought it would be fun and keep the modern feel of the quilt that I wanted. I am keeping this quilt. I have to say many of the quilts that Annette makes for me I keep because i love them so much I can’t part with them.:) This one is big enough for my bed. 🙂 I already have several on my bed that she has made. haha!
And here she is again:
Love -love -love your work!
I hope you all channel your inner quilter today!
