Cactus Blooms

I have no idea what the name of this quilt is…so I just do my best sometimes to come up with a name. 🙂

This was made by a gal in Wenatchee…..perfect piecing. Straight as a board. Seriously.

It was a pleasure to work on. This is our first time working together and she wanted custom quilting.

I gave each color way it’s own design to further the divide and make the sections stand alone. Then I framed it all in with a feather. It all works together so beautifully!

I love the orange back. I didn’t think I had used much orange in my own quilts…then I started sorting through my scraps and it seems I have an over-whelming amount of orange fabrics in there…I must have been on an orange overload in the last year? I have no idea. Good vibrant color.
