Arcadia Avenue

Pat sent me this quilt. WOWZA!! Pat always does amazing work and she chooses really intricate patterns ( mostly) it’s amazing….how much she accomplishes given the difficult patterns she chooses. Hand work, paper piecing, needle turn applique, embroidery…I am telling you it’s amazing!

She wanted me to quilt the setting diamonds like the one she saw from Tamarack Shack Here. So I want to give credit where credit is due. Kathy always does an amazing job and she is super nice. So I don’t want to steal her ideas. 🙂

But it was a lot of work and I am all to happy to honor a fellow artist. I however purposely didn’t look at any of the blocks because I had free reign to quilt the blocks how I wanted and I wanted to do my own interpretation in those.

I used 2 layers of batting, monofilament thread and it’s all done freehand with rulers.

Here are several pictures of the back as well:

I fell in love with the back almost as much as the front…I love it when that happens.

Thanks Pat! I am a HUGE fan of your work! As always! It’s a pleasure working with you…I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
